Exploring the USA!

Students in Miz Patti's Art Room will be exploring the USA by taking imaginary road trips to different states, learning some facts about those states and finding an interesting landmark to use in an art project. The second graders are going to Florida, choosing Disney World and drawing Mickey Mouse. Third grade is going to California, choosing Hollywood and painting the Hollywood sign. The fourth graders are still trying to choose between the New Mexico desert or a South Carolina beach! Fifth grade has already taken their trip to New York and are in the process of drawing the Statue of Liberty. The sixth grade has gone to Arizona, explored the Grand Canyon and are preparing to paint pictures of that. Last but not least, the seventh grade has chosen Hawaii and are making Tiki masks which they also plan to use to decorate for the Luau next spring!
We hope to share some of the many artworks created by this project on our art blog in the near future.
